Koonya Acoustic Roots Festival

Yes, we’re on again for the Koonya 2010 festival. Featuring three days of acoustic based music on a main stage and second fully acoustic stage, workshops, blackboard spots, dances, poets breakfast, good food and refreshments and more. We have a few changes to last year with more acts, longer blackboard spots, NEW TOILETS, expanded camping and hopefully no once-in-a-hundred year storm at festivals end.
Picturesque Koonya is only 70 minutes drive from Hobart on the Tasman Peninsula (15 minutes from Port Arthur). In addition to the limited camping available at the site, there are plenty of other accommodation facilities and camping grounds available a short drive away.
This is a community driven, non-profit event hosted by “Out On A Limb”, the Tasman Peninsula regional arts group. As always, we can use all the extra help we can get, so if you’re interested in earning yourself a free ticket or two, we are calling for volunteers. If you’re interested, see the Volunteers page.

Please also remember, the festival is a dog free zone, so make your pet arrangements before you head on down.
